This Week

This past week Mylin and I drove out to Westlake Village to see my cousin's wife Tiffany and their new daughter Dylan. Dylan is almost 4 months old. Since they live in Utah, (they were just in CA to visit Tiffany's family) this was the first time we have met Dylan. They were super cute together!

Here are just a few cute pictures from last week. Tim was kissing Mylin and she kept pushing him away!

How can you not love this face?!

Mylin - 10 Month Update

Yes, I realize that my last post was Mylin's 9 month update. I'm a slacker. Anyways...
This month...
Mylin started nodding 'yes'! She started shaking her head 'no' before Christmas, which is the cutest thing ever! (Except when she is just playing in her crib instead of napping and I tell her to go to sleep and she just smiles, shakes her head 'no', and keeps on playing...!)
She tries to clap. She doesn't have it quite figured out, but she's getting close!
She will stand by herself for sometimes 10 seconds! She is always so proud of herself when she does that!
She is starting to refuse to eat any baby food. She just wants what we are eating.
She has decided it is more fun to play than to take naps or go to sleep.
She says mama and dada more regularly.
She is currently getting her third tooth. (This one has been the worst. She has not been a happy baby these past few days!)

One day my friend Regan and I took the girls to the park. They rode in Rylan's wagon and Mylin loved it! (We took a bunch of cute pics of the girls at the park, but they are on Regan's camera, so I'll post those when I get them.)

The other day we went swimming and the girls had little matching swim cover-ups. Not planned, but cute!

Then this past week Regan and I took the girls to Santa Barbara for the day. (Haha...I swear I do stuff with Tim...when he's not working! Thank goodness I have Regan to hang out with!)
It was super fun. We ate at this cute little restaurant called Blush and looked at all the shops and then finished our day with frozen yogurt. It was perfect weather and such a fun day.
While we were looking at some shops, we saw this cool wall and decided to take some pics of the girls near it. Regan got some great shots of Rylan, but Mylin was not having it. She wanted to play and crawl (fall) down the steps and make funny faces and she was having a crazy hair day! Oh well, they still turned out pretty cute!

See what I mean?! Crazy faces!

Mylin - 9 month update

I'm a little late (again) posting Mylin's 9 month stats.
Here are her stats from her 9 month doctor appointment:
Weight: 16 lbs 14 oz (10%----Which is crazy because she was always in the 75%. Last month she was in 50%, but now she is down even more.)
Height: 28 inches (50%)
Head: 17 1/4 (25-50%)
Also included in this post: A Mylin picture overload.
It seems like Mylin has learned so much in the past month. She is learning and growing everyday and I love it! (Except it does make me a little sad that she is getting so big!)

She is a really good eater and eats anything you put in front of her.

Over Christmas, she started doing this "Fish Face". I have no clue where she got that from. I can't even do fish lips. But I think it is quite hilarious!

Also over Christmas break, she discovered stairs. We don't have stairs where we live so she was pretty excited about climbing the stairs at my parent's house. She would just start laughing so hard whenever she would climb. She thought she was pretty clever or something.

She's learning to listen. Whenever she is in the tub and she stands up, I will just ask her to sit down and she will! It's awesome! Of course, she will just stand back up like 2 seconds later, but she still listened!

One thing I learned about Mylin this month is that she has a really long tongue!

She's starting to look like such a big girl.

She loves to read. For a few seconds at a time, anyway.

She charms all the old ladies at our church. On Sunday she was leaning over the back of our seats to look at the people behind us. She was just talking and smiling and laughing and she was successfully entertaining all of the back row. Then she put her hand up and kinda waved at them and automatically three people raised their hands and waved back to her! (Which was kinda funny because it was during the Sacrament.)

Her second tooth has broken through. So now she has one and a half teeth!

I can't wait to see what the next month brings.

Part 2- Sledding

When we were in Arizona, we wanted to go sledding. So we (Me, Tim, Mylin, Nate, Kalli, Gavin, my mom) packed up the sleds and headed for the mountains. There wasn't a whole lot of snow, but Nathan knew of a place that would work. (Ironically, the next day it snowed SOO much that we got stuck in Eagar for a few days until the roads were better.)
Anyways, we made a fire and had Smores and hot chocolate. We also made these banana treats where you cut open a banana and fill it with chocolate chips and marshmallows and wrap it in tinfoil and put it in the fire. Pretty yummy!
Mylin loved the snow!

Ok so Tim wanted to put Mylin on a sled and came up with this idea! He strapped her in her carseat and then tied the carseat onto a sled and then pulled it behind the truck! Ok. Not really. He just pulled her himself! But seriously it was one of the funniest things I have ever seen! Mylin had a blast!

Then we put Gavin in there and he was loving it! I don't know why, but it was seriously really funny! We could not stop laughing.

After a while, we tied some sleds behind the truck and went for a ride. (Can you spot Tim? He's kinda hard to see. He just blended right into the scenery!)

Cute Gav.

We had a great time.

Christmas- Part 1

We had a great Christmas this year. It was Mylin's first Christmas so that made it extra special. We went to Arizona and we were able to spend time with both of our families. I have quite a few pictures, so I'm gonna break it up over a couple posts.
Mylin and I flew down to AZ a week or so before Tim and stayed with my brother Nate and Kalli and their boy Gavin. We had such a fun time!
Here is a tub picture of Gav and Mylin. Blackmail pictures for the future!

My niece Mia wasn't feeling too well and fell asleep on my dad's leg. I thought it was super cute.

Here we made our annual graham cracker houses. We tried something different this year and we all had the same house and we were judged on the decorating. (Except for Blake. He wanted a bigger house!)

Mylin in her adorable Christmas dress.

Christmas morning in her Christmas pj's.

Like most little kids, Mylin liked her presents, but LOVED the wrapping paper and bows!

We stayed at Tim's parents this year and his sister Amanda and her husband Kevin and their daughter also stayed there. Jordin and Mylin had a fun time playing together.

Here is Mylin with her cousin Kenzi. Kenzi is such a sweet girl and was always loving on Mylin.

Here are just a few of the cousins. I didn't get a picture with all of the cousins. When we tried to get a picture with all of the cousins that were there, I pulled out my camera and the battery was dead. Bummer. But overall we had a great Christmas! We were definitely spoiled, so thanks to everyone who spoiled us with great presents! You rock!(Pictures of our adventures sledding to come. Someday. Soon. Probably.)
