Part Two of the Bake Shop Party

So here are the rest of the pictures everyone's been asking to see! (Okay, so just my mom and sister...so here you two go!)

Oh...and let's play a game. It's called "How many times did Mylin change her outfit during the party?"

Here are some of the girls eating lunch.

Kale loves my friend Jamie and just crawled right up and sat with her forever.

All the little girls in their aprons! Thanks to my mom for helping me sew all of these! They looked so cute and they loved them!

Decorating the cookies.

Mylin's decorated treats. She did pretty dang good! See the cupcake to the left of the box? My friend had a little chocolate bow mold so we had chocolate bows and oreos for the ears. So cute!

Haha we couldn't get a good picture of us!

My favorite picture of her. Love these girls! This is Mylin with Rylan, her best little buddy! Even though we moved away from her, whenever they see each other they pick right back up and are great friends!

After we decorated the cookies and cupcakes, we played a Cake Walk game. It didn't turn out great because the girls just wanted to stay on their numbers and not switch!

When their number was called they got to pick a Minnie Mouse treat from the bowl.

Opening presents. She was so excited! Tim got to come home for the last hour or so.

Blowing out her candle. We had to do it three times because her friends kept blowing it out for her!

So that was her party! It wore me out. I'm taking next year off!

Oh---did you figure out how many outfits she wore during her party? Four! This girl loves her clothes!

Mylin's Bake Shop---Part 1

Okay, okay. I know my last post was another party, but I swear I do more than throw parties! We did a lot of stuff between that party and this party! I just haven't felt like posting lately. I actually was not planning on throwing Mylin a party this year. But while we were working on Kale's party, she kept saying how excited she was for her Minnie Mouse party! So I had to do one. But I think I will take next year off and keep it simple! These parties are exhausting. I couldn't have done this one without some help from some amazing friends and family. Thanks to Jamie for designing all the prints and signs and invitations. (I forgot to post a pic of the invitations. I'll try to remember. They were super cute!) Thanks to Regan for staying up with me after midnight setting up and Laurie for staying hours after to help me clean up (did I mention she just had a baby TWO weeks ago?! I was barely moving after having a baby and certainly not helping clean up at a birthday party!) Thanks to my mom for helping sew and Tim for making that awning thingy.

At Disneyland they have a bunch of sweets from "Minnie's Bake Shop", so we decided to go with Mylin's Bake Shop! We frosted cookies and cupcakes and played games. I went with an all girls party this time and we had a really good turnout.

Okay--so here's the cute stuff!

The "Come In, We're Open" sign on the door.

Mylin's Bake Shop!

Regan made this cake last night! I think it turned out SO cute.

This might be my favorite part.  I LOVED these little take home boxes that the girls put their cookies in.

The Menu and drink station. Milk and water.

This is where we decorated the cookies and cupcakes.

That frosting looks like guacamole. It's not, in case you were wondering.

We had 10 different frostings and tons of sprinkles. We also had mini oreos and little chocolate bows to make Minnie Mouse!

I'm breaking this into two posts because I have a ton of pics, so next post will be the party!

Zoom over to Kale's Party!

We had Kale's first birthday party this weekend and it was so much fun! I went with a little red car theme. My friend Jamie was awesome and helped me design the invitations and the graphics. I couldn't have done it without her! ---and I know for some people this is going a little overboard, but I really like throwing parties and I wanted to have a nice one for Kale.
Also there are like 30 pictures. These are pretty much for my mom who wants to see everything!

This area was the "Auto Body Shop" where we had little wooden cars that they could color with markers.

This area was the "Speed Race Way". We had two different little race tracks that they could race cars down. Tim built this white one. The kids had a lot of fun racing cars. (I took all the pictures before the guests got here! I swear people came!)

Here was his twelve month banner sign.

Here was the food table...

 AKA the "Fueling Station"!

Wall Pictures.

I had my friend from Ventura make these cakes. Another friend from Ventura was coming up for the party so she brought them up. They turned out great!

The "Stop and Go Fruit Combo"---it was all red, green, and yellow fruit. Also, I made this fruit dip from Our Best Bites that has toffee in it. SOOO good!

Haha don't laugh at my artistic skills! Or lack of...!

For the thank you things, they got a sucker and a little garage with a toy car in it. The top of the garage says, "Thank you for rolling with us"!

Kale was ready for his nap at the time the party started, so he was tired the whole time. He was pretty hesitant at first with his smash cake, but he got the hang of it pretty fast!

There were quite a few little girls and they wanted to dress up in the princess dresses.

Kale's little outfit had a car on it and I didn't even take a picture where you could see it.

Thanks to all of our friends who came to support us and brought Kale such awesome presents!
I think it turned out pretty good!
