Cottontail Days

On Saturday we went to Cottontail Days down at the Harbor. They had booths and crafts and most importantly, an egg hunt!

They did egg hunts every 1/2 hour with 25 kids at a time. Luckily they had it separated by age so Mylin was in the 1-3 year old group.

Once she got an egg, she just wanted to take it out of her basket. And then put it back in. Then take it out. And put it back in! Thanks to Tim, she still managed to get five eggs! (Which have entertained her forever! At home, she loves putting the eggs in and out of her basket!)

Mylin and her buddy Rylan.

Mylin isn't usually scared of much, but she was not a fan of the Easter Bunny.

There was also a petting zoo that Mylin loved!

After that, we took her down this big blow up ride.

The End.

I saw the sign....

I meant to do this a while ago, but better late than never. It's kinda fun to see how much Mylin has changed and grown in a year.

We finally went to her 12 month appointment (a couple weeks late!) and she is 21 lbs (50th %) and 29 3/4 in tall (70%), which is a big jump from being in the 10% at her 9 month appointment! She is getting 4 teeth in right now. She had only 2 teeth for so long that it is so weird to see her with a bunch of teeth!

Mylin's favorite thing to do right now is to put things in things. That sounds weird, but I don't know how else to explain it. She will put little blocks and her sippy cup and toys and anything else she can find into her laundry basket or any other box. It can entertain her forever.

Anyways....here are the month pictures.

*Just curious....Do you have a favorite month picture? I think my favorites are 6 and 11. But of course, as her momma, I love them all!

Party Two: Birthday Party

Here are some more pictures from the party. I didn't get any good ones of everyone that was there....the pictures were mostly just of Mylin! But we had a great turnout.

Mylin woke up RIGHT before her party started, so she was still out of it. Notice the butterfly outfit?! To go along with the butterfly theme!-

And this is her little swimsuit. She would not keep the hat on at all. That's why I'm holding her arm down! I wanted at least one picture with her hat on! (It matched her swimsuit.)

Mylin's friends. There were way more kids, but these were the ones closest to her age. (and easiest to catch for a picture!---And don't worry...we were standing behind them!)

Love this one of Gavin!

So who are these two people? you ask. (As did everyone at the party) Well....I have NO clue who they are, but they sure loved the food! Haha!

Close up of the smash cake....

Mylin digging in.
She kept looking at me like this! I guess to make sure it was okay that she was eating the cake!

After a little bit, Gavin came to help his cousin out!

Then some of her friends joined in. It was funny to see how different they all ate the cake. Mylin and Calum had both hands full of cake. Gavin would just use one finger. Rylan just took the cake off of Mylin's hands!

Mylin loved her cake!

Birthday Party----Part One

Here are some pictures of the decorations and food from Mylin's birthday party. I have been planning her party forever and I think it turned out great. I was pretty nervous because we were having an outside party (BBQ and swimming at one of the pools at our apartment complex) and it was saying 60% chance of rain! I wanted to change the party to the next week, but Tim said no (because my family was coming!) so I just kept praying it wouldn't rain! It was pretty cloudy and a little chilly, but people still swam and the rain held off until that night.

Anyways...just a quick thanks to all my friends and family who helped me with this party. You guys rock!

This is the pool. The BBQ grill and food table is behind this picture.

My friend Regan made this banner for me. I ran out of time to make one so I just wasn't going to have one, but she made one for me without me even asking her to. Yeah, she's awesome.

Oh yeah...the theme for the party was butterflies. And the colors pink, purple, and green.

My sister designed the labels for the water bottles. My sister is a rockstar.

These are little party favors for the kids who came. They got candy and bubbles. The girls got that plus little butterfly hair clips.

This was probably my favorite thing there. This is a banner with all the "month" pictures, going from 1 Month to 12 Months! (There are little butterflies on the banner too.) I just love seeing how much she has grown.

So we had hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, fruit, and fruit dip...but that wasn't very exciting to take a picture of. So use your imagination! What I was most excited for was the treat table! (Yes, I know I went a little overboard. My brother reminded me that I was ridiculous many times! Whatever...your first baby only turns one once!)

Anyways...here is the treat table.

Some strawberry suckers that say Happy Birthday Mylin!

Marshmallow Pops. (Thank you mom and Kalli for helping me with the treats! I would have lost my mind if you guys wouldn't have been there!)

Chocolate Covered Oreos.

Sugar Cookies. I already made butterfly shaped sugar cookies the day my family got there but my mom surprised me with more cookies (the bigger ones) from Sweet Cakes (an awesome bakery in AZ that Kalli's aunt owns). They were delicious!

For some reason I didn't get a picture of these...but look in the corner of the cookie picture. See that little butterfly lollipop? We had lots of those floating around. Too cute.

I made these red velvet cupcakes. The butterfly toppers are edible butterflies I got from sweetdejavu on Etsy.

And these beautiful cakes were made by a lady in my ward. I know, I know....overboard. But she gave me a great deal! And her cakes are awesome. And go big or go home, right?! Haha.

Ok...Those are pretty much all the pictures of the decorations and food. I'll be posting more pictures of the actual birthday party soon. (I had a ton of pictures, so I couldn't fit it all in one post!)
