Beach Pics

Second post of the day:
Here are a few pics at the beach. We went to Pirate Days (no pics of that. shocking!) and then crossed the street and played in the water for a little bit. Mylin was really concerned about her hands getting dirty, but she soon forgot all about it and was running straight for the water! She loves the beach.

The 4th

I have a goal. My goal is to be all caught up on the blog before I leave for Arizona for Christmas. Which is in two weeks. And I'm posting about the 4th of July. Sooo, we will see if I make my goal. I just want to be caught up before this little boy gets here! Anyways, in order to meet my goal, I decided to have a four picture limit per post. Of course, I already went over my limit on this post. But I'm going to stick to only picking out 4 per post from now on---that is hard for me to narrow down pics, but I think it's the only way I will ever get caught up!

Ok...Quick recap of the 4th of July. We went to AZ. It was fun. Also, it was a long time ago so I don't remember much. Well, here are some pics.

Waiting for the parade to start. Or maybe it was already over. Can't remember!

Tim's family was all in town...

Mylin took her first four-wheeler ride. And loved it!

Utah in July

Ok so this is not the best post I have ever done. The pictures are all out of order and I am SOO behind (like 5 months) that I'm just trying to get it done. I have found that putting the pictures in collages takes the least amount of time, so I will probably be doing a lot of those! I really just want to be caught up!

So in July we went up to Utah to see my grandparents. Mylin and I were able to drive up one day to see my good friend Meredith and her little daughter Hadley. I woke up that morning and could not stop throwing up (I was super sick because I was pregnant, but I hadn't told ANYONE!) and I really wanted to go, but I knew I couldn't drive on my own (like 2 hours away) so I woke up my awesome mom and she drove us to Provo just so I could see my friend!- We went to Quilted Bear and ate at Zupas (which was good, but disappointing. Good because I love the food. Disappointing because I was REALLY looking forward to eating there and I was so sick I didn't really eat anything.) Anyways...we had fun in Provo and we sure miss our friends.
Ok so here are some pics of us just hanging around my grandparent's place. We had a lot of fun and it is always so relaxing there. -- Blake had so much fun jumping over the sprinkler. I have seriously like 25 pictures of him doing it because he would jump and then be like "Take another one!"

We spent most of our time just hanging out on the back porch playing in the water. --And yes, it's a good thing Nathan isn't a girl! :)

Change is gonna come

These last few weeks we have had some changes in our lives. The biggest change being that we moved from Ventura down to Huntington Beach. Tim's project finished up in Ventura so they sent us to the next project here in Huntington. And I'm pretty sad about it. I know, I know. When we were first moving to Ventura, I did a post about how I REALLY didn't want to move there and I forced myself to find reasons why I would like living there. I ended up loving living there and I really did not want to move. Yes, I'm sure there are wonderful things about living here (like the shopping. It's pretty great here. And we are even closer to the beach- 2 miles. And we are only 13 miles from Disneyland!), but for now, I am still sad about leaving Ventura. Our first two weeks here have not been great, with both Mylin and I getting really sick and then Tim being out of town for a whole week right when we moved here. But hopefully things will get better and in three years when we have to move again, I will write another post about how I don't want to leave. Positive thinking!

Some of the things I miss about Ventura....

The fruit stands! They were everywhere! No fruit stands here in Huntington.

I also really miss seeing all the fields. Ventura is a huge agriculture town and there are tons of strawberry (and other types) of fields and orchards so it never feels like you are in the city. I have yet to see a field here. All city.

But mostly, I really miss my friends. They are pretty awesome and I'm really sad to leave them. We had a lot of fun together, always going to the park and hanging out and having girl's nights! I only live an hour and a half away, but if you know LA traffic, that most times turns into three hours. Not too easy to just go down for the day.

So anyways...we are here in Huntington Beach and lonely, so remember that we are only 13 miles from Disneyland and come visit!!

Surprise Party

In June, my sister turned 30. We decided to throw her a surprise birthday party. We planned for a long time over the phone/Internet and then Mylin and I flew down early to finish getting ready for the party. Lindsey had no clue we were even flying down to AZ at all! We had Matt take Lindsey on an overnight trip while we watched the kids and set up everything. She had no clue!

The party planners: Me, my mom, and my sister-in-law Kalli. Seriously, Kalli is the best person to have help with planning parties! She is so creative. It was also very helpful that her mom owns a catering company because we had a lot of supplies that we could borrow!

The food table. We had tissue balls and decorations all over, but I didn't get any great pictures of that.

The banner says, "Happy Birthday Lindsey". You just can't read it on this pic.

Here are the drinks. Lemonade and this yummy Ocean Water stuff.

The food was so delicious.

Some salad and our menu!

Arizona

So here are the last pictures from this memory card! Only behind five months now! --- At the end of June, Mylin and I went to Arizona for a few weeks to hang out with family.

One day Gav obviously got into the markers. These pictures crack me up!

When we left California, it was a nice 66 degrees. We got to Phoenix and it was 118 degrees! The heat was awful. Mylin's face was always bright red and I'm pretty sure I got heat-stroke one day. So we enjoyed hanging out at the pool.

Although you can't tell by Mylin's face, she really did enjoy being pushed around by Blake!

PS----I know I've asked this before, but does anyone know how to make my picture files smaller on an Apple computer? I hate blogging right now because it takes like 20 minutes to upload 5 pictures. I've tried photo bucket and I couldn't get that to work, but maybe I'm doing it wrong...Thanks!

Berry-Picking Farm

Back in June, some friends and I went to the Berry Picking Farm in Moorpark. (The week before, Gwen Stefani was there with her kids! Too bad we didn't go a week earlier!) It was an overcast day and so I put Mylin in a brand new shirt that I thought would look cute for pictures. We got there a little bit before everyone else, so most of the pictures are just of Mylin -- I didn't get any of our group.

There is a cute wooden train there that Mylin loves to play on.

She was SUPER excited to see the chickens. They have horses, HUGE pigs, and lots of other animals I can't think of right now!

Here Mylin was spinning in circles.

Riding in the wagon with her friend Eliza.

She loved getting out and picking her own berries!

Remember how I said I picked the never-worn cream shirt specifically for pictures? Well, I'm an idiot. We were going to a BERRY picking farm! After one berry, I knew her shirt was ruined! But she was in heaven eating all those berries!

I was all ready to just throw this shirt away and my friend Regan took it as a personal mission to get all of those berry stains out. And amazingly, she was able to get them all out! Thanks Regan! And Oxy Clean.
